The process is extremely straight forward with limited input required from the property owner
Provide Fuse Media with the details of your unoccupied property.
2. AGREE CONTENT
Let Fuse Media know the advertising and media content you would like including on the Wi-Fi broadcasting device.
3. CONTENT PREPARATION
Fuse Media will prepare the content and install it on the Wi-Fi broadcasting device.
4. LICENCE TO OCCUPY
The licence to occupy or short term lease is agreed, signed and dated. In order to ensure that any ancillary rates savings are delivered the occupancy must be longer than 6 weeks.
5. INSTALLATION AND TEST
A specialist Fuse Media engineer will install the Wi-Fi broadcast device at the property and configure and test the network.
6. INVOICES RAISED
Fuse Media raise three invoices, one to cover the rates payable for the first month (this is payable on receipt), a second to cover the final rates demand (this is payable on receipt) and a third for the fees due upon successfully delivering a new rates free period (typically payable in 14 days).
7. PAYMENT OF RAISED INVOICES
The property owner pays Fuse Media the rates due for the occupation period. This is in turn paid to the local authority shortly after the commencement of the occupation.
8. CONTROL AND MONITORING
Fuse Media provides a cloud based network portal providing multilevel access to agent and landlord upon request. The portal provides full visibility of the customer’s Wi-Fi connected devices at each location.
The Wi-Fi devices are networked so that a user moving throughout or around a large building will always stay connected to the network and advertising.
The devices are fully visible 24/7 and can be remotely switched on and off using the portal management software.
It also confirms the up time of a device and highlights any potential failure which could eliminate the Wi-Fi tenant status.
Fuse Media will notify the local authority at each stage of the process to ensure they are aware of the tenant’s status. Therefore ensuring correct calculation of the rates liability.
At the end of the lease or licence period Fuse Media can remotely deactivate the Wi-Fi device.
11. RATES RELIEF RESET AND REPEAT
Once the Fuse Media lease expires the property qualifies for another round of empty property rates relief.
If the property is still unoccupied at the end of the next relief period the process can be repeated, again and again.
